A Dog’s Purpose From a 6 Year Old Perspective

A Dogs Purpose From a 6 Year Old Perspective

Life get’s hectic for most of us, most of the time. But while I was thinking of a topic to write about, while at the same time listening to some of my Internet buddies debating (arguing) over something that was said in the group chat…this came to mind. Long ago I was given a copy of this and tucked it away for a future use in my ‘My Documents’ folder.

First off I’d like to say that I know nothing about the author, but that her name is Dr Ginny Lee and she is a Veterinarian. This brought so much truth coming from this 6 year old’s eyes that I just had to share this article post about ‘A Dog’s Purpose From a 6 Year Old Perspective’. Today it just seemed to fitting.

WARNING!! This is a tear jerker, so get some tissue. Here we go…

Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a ten-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog’s owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle.

I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn’t do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home.

As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for six-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience.

The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker’s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on. Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away.

The little boy seemed to accept Belker’s transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker’s Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives.
Shane, who had been listening quietly, piped up, ‘I know why.’

Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I’d never heard a more comforting explanation.

He said, ‘People are born so that they can learn how to live a good Life — like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?’

The Six-year-old continued,

‘Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don’t have to stay as long.’

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:

  • When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
  • Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
  • Take naps.
  • Stretch before rising.
  • Run, romp, and play daily.
  • Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
  • Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
  • On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
  • On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
  • When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
  • Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
  • Be loyal.
  • Never pretend to be something you’re not.
  • If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
  • When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

Live simply
Love generously
Care deeply
Speak kindly

ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!

As all I can say is …Thank You Dr Ginny Lee For helping to put life into perspective:)

The How and Why of Prospecting

  • Posted on September 1, 2010 at 3:50 am

The How and Why of ProspectingIf you are a network marketer, whether online or offline, there will come a point and time when you will need to pick up the phone to call and talk to your prospects. It is at this very point where most network marketers fail.

They fail either because they have no idea of what to say and do once they get a prospect on the phone, or because they will not even pick up the phone in the first place. Why is this?

Many network marketers have an over-whelming ‘fear’ of the phone. It is because of this ‘fear’ that many network marketers do not even attempt to pick up the phone in the first place.

  • A fear  of saying the wrong thing
  • A fear of rejection
  • A fear of making a mistake and looking like a fool in the eyes of the prospect

The funny part is, that the prospect more than likely has no idea how to prospect themselves,  so therefore had no idea that a mistake was even made. Besides if you think about it…your on a phone,  not face to face. So it’s not likely the prospect’s ever going to see you again.

You see it’s our fears that hold us back from becoming better, and becoming all we can be. It all started when you were little. Getting picked on by siblings or playmates, and continued all the way through our school years. But it is those who rise above their fears and face them head on,  bettering themselves, that become the winners in life and in business.

So why do prospecting in the first place? Is it to torture us network marketers? No, you need to do it because it is the life blood of your business! And without prospecting, your businesses would not grow and you would not make any money. And after all, isn’t that why you chose to do network marketing and working from home in the first place? So you could make money?

So no matter what your reason is, if you do not pick up the phone and talk to prospects,  your business will fail and die. How do you learn the proper techniques of prospecting? Here is a great starting point. In ‘The Little Black Book of Scripts’ you will receive hours of prospect training that teaches you the proper techniques and strategies used by top leaders in the industry. Study it, learn it, practice it, and do it. Rinse and repeat. There is no short cut to success!

“If you listen to your fears, you will die never knowing what a great person you might have been.”  ~ (Robert H Schuller)

I hope this helped you to take one more step towards success in your network marketing business.

How To Upload A YouTube Video To A Facebook Fan or Business Page

How To Upload A YouTube Video To A Facebook Fan or Business PageI have been asked a lot lately, how I uploaded YouTube videos to my Facebook Pages.  So to make things easier in the future, I decided to just write an article post about this topic that I could direct people to.

In case you didn’t know, you can’t just upload a YouTube video to one of your Facebook Pages.  The YouTube video needs to be converted first.    So to do that is really quite simple.  Just follow the steps below and you will be good to go.

  1. Have the YouTube video that you want, open in a tab or window
  2. Open a new tab or window, and go to www.keepvid.com
  3. Copy the YouTube video link and paste the link into the URL area on keepvid.com and click download
  4. You will be given a choice.  Save the video as an MP4 to your computer
  5. Now open and go to your Facebook Fan or Business Page and go to the video tab and click upload
  6. Browse and choose the video you saved and want to use
  7. give the video a title and a short description, and then proceed with uploading the video to Facebook
  8. As soon as the video is approved, it will show up on your Facebook Page and you can then start directing people to it

You see, it really is quite simple to do yourself.  I would even suggest creating a folder on your desktop just for these Facebook videos.  I hope this was helpful.  If it was please leave a comment and retweet this article post.  Good luck in your endeavors.

Internet Marketing Newbies And Feeling Over-Whelmed

  • Posted on July 20, 2010 at 3:13 am

Internet Marketing Newbies And Feeling Over WhelmedI know when a person is new to Internet Marketing, they quickly feel over-whelmed. And justly so, I might add.

When a newbie starts on the Internet they either get no help at all or way too much guidance. If they joined an great team or group, they are handed hour upon hours of training videos to watch and then do themselves, then there is all the Internet noise to contend with. 97% of all newbies will fail in Internet Marketing within their first year as it is.

So what is a new person suppose to do??

My friends Staci and Luke have put together a great duo of both a post and a video to help you sort it all out.

So take a look at MeetStaci.com, and I hope this helps many of you new people out there that are struggling and confused.

Facebook Changes Rules On ‘Pages’ Tabs

  • Posted on July 14, 2010 at 3:14 am

Facebook Changes Rules On Pages Tabs We as Internet Marketers have been hit hard by the Google,  YouTube and Squidoo slaps and now there is Facebook slapping us again. Facebook has been making a lot of changes lately and here is one that you will want to pay attention to, or it can  cost you in advertising dollars and loss of sales. It’s the rule change on the ‘customized’ tab.

If you’ve been on the Internet for any amount of time, then you have realized that it best to stay ahead of the game & avoid any future problems.

I have come across an article that explains this rule change, and how to stay ahead of it, at least for now. What I like about this author is her continued efforts to help keep Internet Marketers informed on essential topics.

What I like about this post, is the fact that it comes with a video  along with the article, that shows you exactly what to do in this situation.

You ARE Powerful!

  • Posted on July 12, 2010 at 11:55 am

You ARE Powerful! Our deepest fear is not that we’re inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We are all meant to shine as children. It’s not just in one of us, it’s in all of us.

As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

The World will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it.

It’s not about how hard your hit. it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.

THAT’S HOW WINNING IS DONE!!

I found this video on YouTube & thought that I would share it with you…Great inspirational piece.
